We present a review of methods for procedurally generating the morphology virtual creatures. include range methods, with main groups being from ALife over art to video games. Even though at times these overlap, clarity we have kept this distinction. By including word virtual, mean that focus on simulation in silico, and not physical robots. also historical perspective, with information such as cellular automata, L-systems focus on earlier pioneers field
